Prepare for 20/20 Vision

There have been several voices proclaiming 2019 will be a year of preparation on several levels, which I am in agreement with as I have received similar words. As I pressed into this particular word “prepare” coming into 2019, I knew that it was imperative to understand so we could be properly positioned for the shifting that is already happening. I was shown in 2011 that we were in a ten-year window (2010-2020) where God is cleansing the prophetic eyesight of His Bride to restore normal prophetic vision (20/20) for what is to come.

Just as in Genesis 1:31, when evening and morning were the first day, the new day is dawning – though to many it is still dark. The early Semitic translation of Genesis 1:31 reveals that the first day started in unified chaos, meaning: though darkness (chaos) was present, light was emerging. There is shaking, sifting and shifting happening, as the voice of one who cries out in the wilderness calls: “Prepare the way of the Lord!”

The Voice Crying Out in the Wilderness

It was John the Baptist who came in the spirit and power of Elijah, and was “the voice” in Isaiah proclaiming to Israel to prepare the way for the King. In Isaiah 40:3 the Hebrew word for “prepare” is “panah” which also means to turn, and is the singular form of “paniym” which means face or presence; thus the full meaning is: turn back to the face or His presence. As the voice of the John the forerunner cried out in the wilderness, he was turning Israel back to God’s face or His presence. As John the Baptist was preaching repentance, he was telling Israel to turn back to God’s presence or His face, so that they would recognize the face of the coming King! According to Isaiah 40:5, it would prepare the people to see His glory because He is the King of glory!

“The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:5)

Recognizing the Face of the King

We are in a time when the face of King Jesus is unrecognizable to many. We are in desperate need of forerunning voices who will sound the alarm for the Church. Let’s repent of adding any man-made belief systems and structures to fill the void of not seeing His face and experiencing His presence. Repentance, or a turning back to His presence, is necessary not because the King is coming, but because He is already here and we are in danger of missing our day of visitation. As John the Baptist ministered in his day, Jesus the King was already on the earth!

It may be dark and chaos may seem to be all around us, but the alarm is sounding for us to arise and shine for the light of His glory is coming. There are levels and dimensions of glory that are coming from within and upon a people who have learned to turn and run toward His face with thirst and hunger. This type of pursuit will produce union with the King of glory and allow every false image to be consumed in the fire of His presence.

Prepare for Kingdom Culture

An entire new culture is coming with the King and we are about to transition in a way that we have not gone before in our generation. Therefore, we cannot afford to halt between two opinions. The King is coming, not just to have a revival and glory meetings (which we will experience), but to establish His people in the culture of the King.

Forerunners of the coming shift are going to cause a major shaking, sifting, and shifting as the sound of the voice from the future begins to be heard in the present. It will cause every crooked road to be made straight, every rough place smooth, every valley to be filled, and every high place to come down to make way for the King of glory. Lift up your heads, lift up your gates and let the King of glory come in!
